It is an extraordinary musical friendship that connects the German guitarist and singer Jule Malischke and the London-based Italian guitarist Antonio Forcione together.
After the first notes together, the audience quickly realizes that something very special has been found in the virtuosity of both musicians.
Jule Malischke is a solo artist and has been performing successfully on various national and international stages in different duo projects for many years. She studied at the conservatories in Augsburg and Dresden up to the master class level and is now a lecturer for guitar at the Dresden University of Music.A special feature of this artist lies in her musical diversity. With her brilliant guitar playing she moves effortlessly between virtuoso concert guitar literature, complex fingerstyle arrangements and her own songs, which are characterized by her extraordinary voice.
Described by critics as "the Jimi Hendrix of acoustic guitar," Antonio Forcione has had a checkered career. This began as a street musician, but quickly led him to concert halls all over the world. In addition to his collaboration with Jule Malischke, Antonio Forcione is in demand as a solo artist as well as the leader of his "AKA Trio". He has collaborated with numerous well-known artists, including Bobby McFerrin, Phil Collins and Charlie Haden.
In their duo concerts, the two exceptional musicians present the best of the best, written by each individually, in a fresh "duo look". Since the beginning of their collaboration, they have toured Europe and caused a sensation with an unusually colorful and engaging program.
