Maria Markesini

In some people, natural talent lies dormant and unoticed. Born in Greece and raised in Holland, Maria Markesini, the trained concert pianist, was noticed as a singer by chance. Who ever has heard her silvery voice can thank the Greek gods! Together with the widely known jazz musician from the Netherlands, Bert van den Brink (who has performed with the likes of Chat Baker, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Lee Konitz) presents a varied program for the singing pianist. She performs everything from Bob Dylan songs, jazz ballads and Greek songs to French chanson.
